Not exactly next month's Glamour magazine cover...

Gorgeous picture, huh? Well I just finished about a 10 mile bike ride in the heat of the day(smart idea, right?). Look at my face. Trust me I smell much worse than I look, hard to believe-I know. Why would a I do such a crazy thing? (Plus side: burning almost 1000 calories!!! YEAAHH!) Well, a friend came up to me Sunday and said that he is trying to get a group together of people in our ward to do a triathlon in September. Would I be interested? YES!!! I have needed something to re-energize me! I am so bored with my exercise routine and have been so disappointed with my body lately. UUUGGGHHH! I have been eating all the wrong things and looking for every excuse not to work out very hard. Truth be told - I FEEL so much better when I exercise and I haven't felt that big endorphin release lately. Even though I am not very competitive and will probably finish dead last - I am goal oriented and think this is a great new challenge for me. I am excited. Just in case - though- a few of you might start thinking about what you might like to say to eulogize me. There is a chance I have bitten of a little more than I can chew.
PS: Anyone have any great ideas of where I could buy a racing bike that won't cost me a gajillion dollars?

LOL! I know you can do it...b/c it's your personality! once you set a goal you will get it done...even if it kills you! You still look better than I would after being out in that humidity and heat! I will ask Steve's brother about the bike if you want. He has been bike racing for several years now and is very serious about his sport. He might have some good info about the bike purchase:)

I think you look great but I'm glad I can't smell you...but I can smell my laundry basket and get the picture. Maybe I'll have to invest in those fabulous looking washing machine duos...

So I talked with my trainer and he gave me a schedule to start preparing for the triathalon. I haven't started with the bike yet. I'm nervous!!!! I wish I looked like that after I have been working out. : ) This will be fun, well, maybe just exciting to finish... : )

I did the same thing last summer with a group of girls in my ward...SO MUCH FUN! I found my bike on Ebay. It was brand new for maybe $250. I think it was a UK brand?; It got the job done...I am doing one again this summer, so we will have to keep each other updated!
