McKinley Ilene's Baptism



What a wonderful day! It far surpassed my expectations. We had so many loved ones and friends there. It meant alot to us that so many took time out of their Saturday to come celebrate with us. When I got home I realized I didn't have any pictures of me with MCkinley! :O( I am hoping my dad got one. I didn't get a pic of him with her either! He and I were taking all the pics. If any of you have pictures that you took, please email them to me!

Lindsey and Kyle (my sister and her hubby).....


The Fredericksens (friends from C2) made it! We were so happy to see them!

Memomie (my Dad's mom) came from Saginaw for the big day!

Papa Jack came and gave the closing prayer. We love him so much!

Grandaddy (my Mother's father) and Lila came.

McKinley's middle name is "Ilene". She is named after a very dear friend of mine that died about 14 years ago. Her oldest daughter, Lynsi, came. She totally suprised us - we weren't sure if she would be able to make it. I teared up when I saw her because it made it that much more meaningful for me to have her there. I was able to introduce McKinley to Lynsi and remind her about Ilene and why we named her after her.

We ended up seeing it too because we were waiting for Nicholas to get baptized. It was wonderful! :) Congrats!

wish we could have gone!!!! we had tickets to see the magic lantern show, i totally forgot I had ordered them like 3 months ago. man! I am glad so many people came and she looks B-E-A-utiful!

Congratulations to McKinley! I so wish we could have been there to share her special day. She is just as cute as her sweet mom. We really need to get her together with Miss Molly.

That looks like it was a very special day! I didn't know Mckinley's middle name was after Ilene, that is really neat! "Papa Jack" is looking great! I haven't seen him in a long time!

Surprise McKinley!

A week ago, McKinley's best friend, Caty, texted me and asked if she could throw McKinley a surprise birthday party on her birthday.  The girls had been challenged by their Young Women leaders to do a 10 hour project for Individual Worth and she thought it would make a great project to plan a fun party for her! She invited 14 fun friends to join in on the surprise. I wish I would have taken the time to take a picture of the cute chocolate fountain and home made cupcakes she made.  She had blown up about 20 balloons and when McKinley walked in to the house they jumped out and showered her with shredded paper.
