meet zeus


Yesterday was my birthday. My sweet husband got me a dog. Meet Zeus. All 130 lbs of him. He is an 11 months old great dane. Totally housebroken. The best walking companion I have ever had. He has to be next to me at all times. He is so sweet with the kids. Sits on command. He even watches lifetime movies with me on the bed - which is more than I can say for my hubby! Happy Birthday to me.

Happy Birthday...good thing we are both starting to age younger. Your dog looks so sweet. Next time we get a dog, we'll get one already trained. Just brilliant. Too bad kids don't come already housebroken!

Omigosh! Happy Birthday!!! Dan is a major cat person (and I dislike cats immensely)...and I am a major dog person (Dan seriously dislikes dogs). So we'll probably be pet-less forever.

I'll live vicariously thru you and Zeus, okay?!

Happy Birthday! Wow- we were deciding between great danes and boxers a while back and got a boxer- we traded size for hyperness I've found. Great dane's are such nice dogs! A perfect family dog I think. And the coloring is beautiful!

k- i saw your family at the art fair yesterday with this dog, and i was wondering where the heck it came from, cause i didn't remember you having a dog last time i was at your house.

hope you had a great b-day, and i surely hope your dog is a gift you asked for, cause if dylan brought me a dog home for my b-day-- no matter how much i love him-- he would be out on the curb:D i have a feeling your sweet hubby would never do that--

Happy Birthday! I am so jealous. I have been begging Randy for a dog. He won't get a great dane but he will get a pug:) I'll take whatever I can get. I am a HUGE dog lover. So are my kiddos. One day, one day is all I keep saying. Anyway, I am glad you are enjoying your new addition!

Happy Birthday!! I was at your house yesterday, and I didn't even know it was your birthday!! And I was wondering about Zeus too, since I hadn't seen him before :) I'm glad you and he are getting along so well!! I, like Bethanne, am a dog person, and Barrett is an inside cat person. I just don't like animals in my house!!! So we probably won't have pets forever either :) Hope your birthday was wonderful! And Carter had so much fun yesterday, so thanks for that again!!!

Happy Birthday to you!! What a great gift! He is adorable. (and huge) :) I bet you and the kids create some great memories with your new gift.

Also, yes, I LOVE my calling as Laurel Advisor. I think of you a lot since you were such a huge part of my life when I was a Laurel. I feel such a huge responsibility for the girls, b/c they're in such a critical time in their lives. I love it though! Probably one of the best callings ever! :)

Surprise McKinley!

A week ago, McKinley's best friend, Caty, texted me and asked if she could throw McKinley a surprise birthday party on her birthday.  The girls had been challenged by their Young Women leaders to do a 10 hour project for Individual Worth and she thought it would make a great project to plan a fun party for her! She invited 14 fun friends to join in on the surprise. I wish I would have taken the time to take a picture of the cute chocolate fountain and home made cupcakes she made.  She had blown up about 20 balloons and when McKinley walked in to the house they jumped out and showered her with shredded paper.
