Random post about flower arrangements

I think the prettiest, most creative flower arrangements I have seen are at the Tom Thumb at Park and Preston. I walked in there the other day and saw this:


and this one (I copied for the "dessert divas" I had at my house)....

and this...

yes, look closely, those are carrots in the vase to compliment the orange in the flowers. Weird sounding, I know, but it was dang cute!

LOVE all of those:) WOW--I had no idea Tom Thumb could be that good! I am sure it is not every Tom thumb though?!

I knew you would appreciate those Amanda. you are the best flower arranger that I know PERSONALLY. While it is true that most TTs (in my experience) have a better than average selection of flowers and arrangements to choose from relative to other gorcery chains, I think that PARTICULAR store is the best because they have two ladies, very creative ladies, that do the arrangements., It is kind of far to drive but they are located near Brady's preschool so I was in the neighborhood and picked one up - or rather picked the stuff to make a cheaper version.

i noticed that too one time when i was in there-- i've always had this want if i never had to worry about money and it were never an issue-- i would ALWAYS have fresh flowers in my house-- love them!

Those are beautiful. There is something about having flowers in the house that makes it feel warmer, and more homey. I am not sure why that is...

Surprise McKinley!

A week ago, McKinley's best friend, Caty, texted me and asked if she could throw McKinley a surprise birthday party on her birthday.  The girls had been challenged by their Young Women leaders to do a 10 hour project for Individual Worth and she thought it would make a great project to plan a fun party for her! She invited 14 fun friends to join in on the surprise. I wish I would have taken the time to take a picture of the cute chocolate fountain and home made cupcakes she made.  She had blown up about 20 balloons and when McKinley walked in to the house they jumped out and showered her with shredded paper. Then they went swimming.  Yes, in November and NO, they had not heated the pool. kiki and  Lexie   with Emily  and Molly  and Mallory  and Kylie H.  and Kaly   the Lloyd twins and Abbey  Megan  Kaylie W.  Michaela  and Kylie P who had celebrated her birthday with a party the night before.
